Barcelona will be looking to keep the pressure on Levante and Real Madrid at the top of La Liga table, while Mallorca’s aim will be to win their first match in October.
Barcelona seemed to be on a fine path earlier this season, but their shocking 0-0 draw with Sevilla last weekend just pushed them down the standings. Although they were victorious in mid-week away to Granada, they still need to remain focused and be at their best against Granada.

Obviously, the title cannot be won if efforts are not made in each and every game; and this is also a partially valid fact for Mallorca. Los Bermellones might certainly not be looking at clinching La Liga title, at least not this season. But it is surely a must for them to take every single match seriously so as to avoid shocks and setbacks that will eventually throw them at the bottom of La Liga table.

Speaking of the standings, Levante currently take the lead with 23 points and a goal difference of +12. Real Madrid then follow in second place, being a point behind despite having a difference of +25.

In third place come Barcelona with 21 points and a goal difference of +23. The Catalans have won six games and drawn three out of nine played.

On their side, Mallorca are still fighting for a position in the first half of the table. They presently occupy the 13th position with only nine points and a goal difference of -3. This is simply because they have won only two games, drawn three and lost four so far in La Liga.

Perhaps, they could show more expertize at the Camp Nou this evening, when they face the likes of players such as Carles Puyol and Gerard Pique. They will also have to contain the scrutinized Lionel Messi - who has not been on the scoring sheet for Barcelona since his brace against Racing Santander on the 15th of October.

With Cesc Fabregas likely to team up with the Argentine upfront, things could get dangerous for the visitors. Moreover, they may have to deal with the returning Alexis Sanchez, who has been inactive lately due to a hamstring injury.

Luckily for them, Pedro Rodriguez is unable to perform, but this is not great news. Mallorca themselves will most likely be without Jose Nunes, Gianni Zuiverloon, Pablo Caceres and Kevin Garcia.
