The eleventh edition of El Trafico will headline Matchday 4 of Major League Soccer in a weekend filled with rivalry matches. Learn how to watch LA Galaxy-LAFC in the USA and 50+ countries.

The LA Galaxy will host LAFC at Dignity Health Sports Park on Saturday at 8 p.m. ET. FOX Network and FOX Deportes will broadcast the MLS clash on television in the USA.

The two Los Angeles franchises enter Saturday’s EL Trafico living two very different realities.

The Galaxy has a new look under new manager Greg Vanney and it showed in the second half of the season-opener against Inter Miami. The positive response in that second half won the Galaxy the game 3-2 and the good form carried onto the next against New York Red Bulls, which LA also won 3-2. Vanney’s man will look to bounce back from a 3-0 defeat against the Seattle Sounders last weekend.

On the other hand, this will be the last chance for the LAFC originals – Carlos Vela, Diego Rossi, Latif Blessing, Eduard Atuesta and Mark-Anthony Kaye – to lift an MLS Cup. The core group of LAFC’s originals has caught the attention of European sides who are looking to sign the players after this season. The Black & Gold will look to better themselves against the LA Galaxy after a subpar start of the season in head coach Bob Bradley’s eyes.

LA Galaxy vs. LAFC: Players to watch

The Galaxy and LAFC possess some of the league’s most talented players. The following are two players who will have the attention of fans on Saturday.

Javier Hernandez – LA Galaxy

Striker Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez has more goals after three matches in 2021 – five goals – than he did in the entirety of last season – two goals in 12 games. The Mexican star is inspired home and away wins against Inter Miami CF and the NY Red Bulls. Chicharito bagged a brace that was complimented by attacking midfielder Sacha Kljestan’s game-winner to take down Inter Miami 3-2 in South Florida on opening weekend. Chica followed up with a hattrick at home to take down the Red Bulls 3-2.

Diego Rossi – LAFC

Forward Diego Rossi returned to competitive play last weekend in an away game at Houston after dealing with a hamstring injury. The 23-year-old Uruguayan had an uneventful game, playing the entirety of it and failing to be the difference-maker. The upcoming match against an in-form LA Galaxy will serve as an opportunity for Rossi to go get back to the level he was in 2020. Last season, he recorded four goals and one assist in four duels against the Galaxy.

LA Galaxy vs. LAFC: Head-to-head

Los Angeles FC trails the LA Galaxy in the all-time record between the two. The Galaxy is 4-3-3 when playing against the Black & Gold.

The two LA rivals met four times in 2020 – once in the MLS is Back Tournament and three times in the MLS regular season – and each won two games. LAFC thrashed the LA Galaxy 6-2 in the MLS is Back Tournament. However, the Galaxy won their first two regular season contests against the Black & Gold 2-0 and 3-0 in the span of one month. LAFC ended up winning the last game between the two.
