The Brazilian winger is set to sign a new long-term deal with the Ligue 1 outfit.

Former Barcelona star Neymar Jr is apparently on the verge of ending speculations about a return to Camp Nou by signing a new long-term deal with Paris Saint-Germain. According to a report from France on Friday night, the 29-year-old Brazilian forward is expected to sign a new deal that will keep him at the Ligue 1 club until 2025.

The rumors of Neymar's return to Barcelona have been heating up following Paris Saint-Germain's exit from the UEFA Champions League. The attacker and his side were knocked out of the competition by Manchester City and are also on the verge of missing out on winning the Ligue 1 as they currently sit behind Lille with just three games of the season to play. As it has been a rather turbulent season, some claim that he may consider ending his stint with the Parc des Princes outfit with his former club keen on reuniting with him.

Earlier in the week, a report in the French media revealed that PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi had sent a message to Barcelona warning them to leave Neymar alone. The Catalan press subsequently hit out at the French club owner, labelling his side as hypocrites as it is believed that they have consistently reached out to Lionel Messi to sign him.

Nevertheless, a claim by L'Équipe suggests that Les Parisians may not have worry about the Catalans' attempt to sign Neymar with the player set to pen a new long-term deal. According to the French publication, the Brazilian will sign a four-year deal and is expected to be paid $36.5M (€30M) per season. Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has also stated that the attacker could be handed a huge bonus on top of his earning should PSG win the Champions League next season.
