The experienced winger could extend his stay in Italy with yet another Italian side after reports have linked him with a move to Lazio.

Although Fiorentina have had their ups and downs, some of their players continue to garner attention from fellow Serie A rivals.

This season, much of the buzz has been about young Serbian striker Dušan Vlahović, who has netted 17 times for the Tuscan outfit and as such is now reportedly on the radar of teams like AC Milan and Roma, plus other European teams including RB Leipzig, Arsenal, and Atletico Madrid.

However, Franck Ribery is another who's apparently caught the eye of another Serie A rival, with Lazio being mentioned as the side that's especially keen. Despite being 38, the former Bayern ace has been a solid presence for the Viola as they've seen current manager Giuseppe Iachini fired, then re-hired once Cesare Prandelli decided to resign.

Ribery has chipped in with seven assists and two goals for the Gigliati, and Lazio are hoping that the veteran could be another Pepe Reina-esque signing. Reina, who previously played for Milan, Napoli, as well as Barcelona, Liverpool, Aston Villa, Villarreal, and Bayern Munich, has proven to be a solid option for the Aquile in between the posts, and clearly, as per the same reports, Lazio's leadership believe that he could link up well with club top scorer Ciro Immobile if they could get him on a Bosman transfer this summer.

Fiorentina, however, aren't keen on losing him, and have offered him a one-year extension on his contract. Ribery will have to take a pay cut, however, to remain at the Stadio Artemio Franchi, as his current wage packet sees him earning about €4 million net per season; this new arrangement would see his earnings slashed by 50 per cent to €2 million.
