The Champions League winner and German international has reportedly caught the eye of Chelsea's new manager.

Although the 2020/2021 season hasn't yet come to its conclusion, that hasn't prevented many of Europe's biggest clubs from already scouting to look where they can improve in key areas on the pitch.

And Chelsea is certainly no exception. Earlier this year, the London powerhouses decided to make a tactical switch, sacking club icon Frank Lampard after a series of poor results to bring in former PSG boss Thomas Tuchel, and the German manager has already started putting together a list of players he'd like to see come to Stamford Bridge for the 2021/2022 season.

According to reports, one player is fellow German international Niklas Sule. The Bayern defender apparently is a high piority of Tuchel's as he looks to further bolster Chelsea's back-line with the Blues looking to become more competitive on multiple fronts for the upcoming years.

Sule, 25, who was part of Bayern's Sextuple-winning squad under current boss Hansi Flick, is valued around £30 million, which given his age, is a relative bargain. He only has about a year remaining on his contract, and his future at the Allianz Arena isn't 100 per cent certain especially with Flick recently announcing his departure at the end of this current year - and Bayern apparently haven't held any discussions with the player nor his entourage about an extension, either.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are in dire need of some reinforcements, especially in the center of defense. Thiago Silva is now approaching his 37th birthday and so while has a wealth of experience, Sule would potentially represent a solid option for the long-haul; moreover, the Brazilian star has apparently not fully committed to signing his one-year extension deal just yet.
