The Nerazzurri were reportedly keen on the veteran Giallorossi striker in January, and may make a move for the Bosnian international this summer.

In January, there was a lot of buzz about a potential swap deal involving Roma's Edin Dzeko and Inter's Alexis Sachez, but nothing came to fruition.

As a result, the Bosnian international remained at the Stadio Olimpico, only for the 35-year-old to end up feuding with current boss Paulo Fonesca which resulted in him being stripped of the captaincy.

While he's been slowly re-integrated back into the squad, things apparently remain tense, and Italian sources still have him linked with a move away from the Eternal City this summer.

Specifically, La Gazzetta dello Sport have claimed that the Nerazzurri could make a move for him again, and Roma may also be keen to get his €7.5 million salary off the books. Antonio Conte is reportedly a fan of the former Manchester City man, who signed a permament deal with the Lupi back in 2016 and has scored nearly 120 goals in over 250 appearances for the capital-based club.

In addition, Dzeko could prove to be a reliable back-up - or a potential cheaper replacement - for Romelu Lukaku- if Inter are forced to part with their top marksman due to some financial concerns.
