Within the period, they recorded 12 wins and three draws. The odds are well in favor of Zinedine Zidane's men to cruise to another win as they retain an impressive record over Getafe in more than a decade.
Since 2008, Los Blancos have not lost a single game against their local rivals. A win is expected to be a formality and set the tone for the current leader title holders to trump over Cadiz, Real Betis and Osasuna in their subsequent outings.
For Getafe, the clash presents an opportunity for them to change their fortunes this season. The Azulones have been a shadow of the side they were last season and have picked up a number of bad results that has left them just three points above the relegation zone. Lucas Vazquez is out for the season with a knee problem and Sergio Ramos is also expected to be absent with a calf injury and a positive coronavirus case. The availability of Eden Hazard and Dani Carvaja remains uncertain. However, both Casemiro and Nacho are expected to sit out the game with suspension. There is a boost in the side with Raphael Varane recovering from a foot injury.
