It was a horrible weekend for Tottenham and Man City, but an excellent one for Man Utd and Arsenal.

Matchweek 31 in the Premier League is all but done and dusted, with Brighton vs Everton being the only remaining fixture. England's big clubs were in action over the weekend, with Man City taking on Leeds in Saturday's early game, suffering a shock 2-1 defeat at home to Bielsa's 10 men. Liverpool and Chelsea took to the field later that same day, beating Aston Villa 2-1 and Crystal Palace 4-1 respectively to keep pressure on West Ham in the top-four race. Man United and Tottenham locked horns on Sunday in the standout fixture, with the Red Devils fighting from a goal down to beat Spurs 3-1. North London rivals Arsenal, on the other hand, enjoyed a nice weekend, beating Sheffield 3-0 after Thursday's disappointing European game. Here's everything you need to know about the recent round of fixtures.

Harry Kane failed to score over the weekend and is now level on goals with Mohamed Salah (19), with the Egyptian superstar netting in the 2-1 victory over Aston Villa. However, the Englishman leads Salah in the playmaking department, racking up 13 assists so far in comparison to the Liverpool ace's three. Bruno Fernandes remains third with 16 goals.

  • Alexander Lacazette reached a lovely feat in the 3-0 win over Sheffield, with the Arsenal striker scoring a brace at Bramall Lane. His two-goal feat took his Premier League record to 50, becoming only the sixth Frenchman to reach half a century in the EPL, and the fourth Gunners player to achieve it (Henry, Giroud, Pires, and now Lacazette).

  • Jose Mourinho reached a new low in the 3-1 loss to Man United. That was his 10th defeat this season in the Premier League, the first time the Special One has recorded 10+ losses in a single campaign. Furthermore, the defeat to the Red Devils was the 18th point Spurs have dropped from winning positions.

  • Mason Greenwood reached an excellent feat in the 3-1 win at Tottenham, registering his 13th Premier League goal in that fixture. Only Wayne Rooney has scored more EPL goals for the Red Devils (15) as a teenager.

  • Leeds shocked everyone on Saturday when they won 2-1 at the Etihad Stadium despite playing with 10 men, with Liam Cooper being sent off right before the break. As a result, Leeds became the first opposing team to beat Man City at the Etihad in the Premier League while being a man down for 45+ minutes.

Top matches to watch in the EPL: Apr. 16-22, 2021

Everton vs Tottenham Hotspur: The result of this fixture could be the final blow to the top-four aspirations of one team, or possibly both if they play out a draw. Spurs sit in seventh with 49 points while Everton are in eighth with 47 points. Form doesn't favor Tottenham and should Mourinho's men lose, they could find themselves nine points behind fourth-placed West Ham.

Leeds vs Liverpool: This will be an interesting fixture as fans will be eager to see whether Bielsa can pick up points against Klopp's side, having recently beaten Pep's Man City. The last time these two sides faced off, they played out a thrilling 4-3 win for the Reds at Anfield but the newly-promoted side nearly came away with a point. Liverpool are not at their best currently, meaning Bamford and Co. might fancy their odds.

Aston Villa vs Man City: Aston Villa are one of this season's surprise package and will look to beat another English giant when they host Man City. The Citizens are still well on their way to the EPL title but will want to avoid another slip-up, having lost 2-1 at home to 10-men Leeds on Saturday.
