The French striker ended a six-game hoodoo against Los Culés with an impressive backheel flick to give Los Blancos the lead in El Clásico.

Fans wondered if Karim Benzema was going to be able to step up as the leader Los Blancos needed to beat Barcelona, and the footballer did not disappoint by doing what he does best.

Before the 20-minute mark, Benzema scored a big goal for Zidane's men after a great counter attack led by Fede Valverde, who dribbled past Barcelona's defenders to give the ball to Lucas Vázquez. Once he had the ball, Vázquez found Benzema inside the box, and without a moment's hesitation, he decided to take a shot on goal with the backheel of his right foot. Ter Stegen was not able to react properly and the ball ended hitting the back of the net.

This was Benzema's tenth goal ever against Barcelona, and his first after a six-game drought. Have a look at the Frenchman's massive effort (Image might be geo-restricted).
