After seeing off Leipzig, Bayern will look to rebound after their UCL disappointment when they welcome Union Berlin on Saturday afternoon.

Preview: Bayern vs Union Berlin

Bayern's win over RB Leipzig in last weekend's match has pretty much set up die Roten to win the Bundesliga title once again. However, despite being on course to ensure the domestic crown continues to remain in Munich, die Roten are not guaranteed to retain their Champions League title. Hansi Flick's men were pitted against PSG in a rematch of last season's final, and this time, it was Les Parisiens who came out on top in an entertaining five-game thriller.

Nonetheless, there's still plenty of time for the Bavarians to get back on track. Yes, conceding three times at the Allianz Arena does put them in a tricky spot, and yes, they will be still missing key man Robert Lewandowski for the trip to Paris. However, Flick's side did score twice, and any team would be remiss to discount a team can literally grab a goal from any player on the pitch.

A ninth consecutive title is Bayern's, provided they just win five more games between now and May. As for their upcoming visitors, who sit in seventh, Union Berlin have won just one of their last five games, but they're notable in the fact that they, along with Gladbach, are just one of two teams who have not lost to Bayern in the league so far this season.

Urs Fischer's side also have lost just six times all term. That's a better return than pretty much every other side in the Bundesliga, save for Bayern (3), Leipzig (4), Wolfsburg (3), and Frankfurt (3), and all four of those aforementioned teams happen to occupy the Champions League berths. However, they've also drawn 12 times, which is more than any other team in the league. And with Bayern, who are dealing with quite a few players out injured - not just Lewandowski - the visitors will certainly be happy with departing with a point in hand at the expense of the Bavarian titans who will definitely be distracted with their must-win game against PSG looming on the horizon.

Team news: Bayern vs Union Berlin

Bayern: The hosts will be missing quite a few players due to suspension, illness, and injuries. Alphonso Davies misses out due to part two of a two-match ban. Meanwhile, Robert Lewandowski is still out for at least another few weeks with a knee injury, while Corentin Tolisso (thigh), Douglas Costa (metatarsal), Serge Gnabry (COVID-19), Leon Goretzka (thigh), Theo Hernandez (stomach injury), and Niklas Süle (thigh) are all out.

In addition, Flick may opt to give Thomas Muller a break here in order to keep the veteran fighting fit for the crunch clash against PSG next week.

Union Berlin: Niko Giesselmann (shoulder), Anthony Ujah (knee), Sheraldo Becker (ankle), Taiwo Awoniyi (thigh), and Leon Dajaku (foot) are all out for the visitors.
