The new MLS club is set to change their stadium name after securing a sponsorship deal with the automotive retailer.

The 2021 MLS season is just around corner, and although Inter Miami unfortunately had to recently cancel a bunch of pre-season friendlies due to COVID-19, it hasn't prevented the Herons from completing some other business off the pitch.

The newly created club, who are coached by Phil Neville, partially owned by David Beckham, and are set to begin their sophomore campaign in just under a fortnight, are set to make a big announcement imminently. Their 18,000-seater temporary home venue was known as Inter Miami CF Stadium, but they're now set to move to the DRV PNK Stadium after the team announced a partnership with Florida-based automotive retailer AutoNation.

The reason for the name "DRV PNK" is to support AutoNation's Drive Pink initiative, which is a charity that raises funds for breast cancer research. Inter Miami's kits also happen to be black and pink, so it lines up perfectly with this same cause.

Although it hasn't yet been confirmed, there has also been some speculation that AutoNation, in addition to being on Inter Miami's new home stadium, could also serve as the team's kit sponsors as well.

The Herons, who finished in 10th in the Eastern Conference, and 19th overall in the league, will kick off their second season with a mouth-watering home clash against Beckham's former team LA Galaxy on Sunday, April 18th at 15.00 EST (12.00 PST).
