The MLS side will see their stadium re-named after securing a new naming rights sponsor for the next decade.

It's been known as the Avaya Stadium from 2015 to 2019, and most recently as the Earthquake Stadium.

However, starting from this season, San Jose Earthquakes's home ground will now have a new name: PayPal Park. Although the Quakes haven't posted the best results in recent years - in 2018, they won their fourth MLS Wooden Spoon - they recently announced some positive news on the financial front.

For the next decade, the team's 18,000 seater venue will have the global online payments company's logo on their ground. In addition, PayPal will also serve as a sleeve sponsor on the team's kits, as well as in tune with the latest rise in organizations becoming involved in social justice issues as of late, will feature a special 250-seat section for disadvantaged youth with free tickets and included transport both to and from matches.

While the exact financial details weren't revealed, the deal reportedly is worth about $20 million (€16.9 million) over the course of the ten year contract.
