This will be the first of many tests to determine if all stadiums can be open for the 2020 UEFA Euro.

Good news for football fans in England as they may be able to go back to the stadiums as soon as this month.

The English government has reportedly lifted the restrictions on public events, and the first tests will be held on April 18, when Leicester City and Southampton lock horns at Wembley Stadium in the FA Cup semi-finals.

Fans were banned from entering all stadiums back in December due to an increase of COVID-19 cases in the United Kingdom. Now, with England being a reference when it comes to vaccinating their citizens, the chance of opening the stadiums once again will allow 4,000 fans at Wembley.

The only restriction to have fans inside the stadium will be that only Londoners will be allowed inside the grounds, in order to prevent Leicester City and Southampton fans from making an innecessary trip to attend the game. If things go as planned, all restrictions regarding fans could be lifted by May 17, allowing all major stadiums to welcome football fans.

This decision will also come in handy to determine the number of fans that will be allowed inside the stadium for the 2020 Euro, which will have seven games being played in England, including the semi-finals and the final match.
