The Bavarian titans are always looking for top notch talent to add to their already fearsome attack, and have reportedly earmarked the Spurs star as a potential option.

Bayern Munich's critics may believe that die Roten have a tendency to snatch all their players from their league rivals, and while die Roten do have a knack for going shopping in the Bundesliga, they certainly don't mind looking outside Germany for top talent as well.

Apparently, the latest player to have garnered their attention is none other than Son Heung-Min. The South Korean star presently has netted 13 times in the Premier League, which puts him second behind Harry Kane's 17 goals, and made history as the first Asian player to score more than 50 goals in the English top flight. Son, who is widely regarded as one of Korea's best ever players, has been directly involved in 34 goals (18 goals, 16 assists) in 41 appearances across all comps for Jose Mourinho's side, and has quickly become a fan favorite due to his selfless nature and willingness to pitch in on defense.

Son is also no stranger to the Bundesliga, having spent six seasons with Hamburg and Bayer Leverkusen (plus one with Hamburg's second string side in the Regionalliga Nord) before moving to Tottenham in a £22 million move that made him the most expensive Asian player in football history.

According to reports, what's made Bayern especially keen is Son's contract talks have reportedly hit a snag. The 28-year-old was offered a wage packet that would see him make more than £200,000 per week over five years, and he was apparently ready to agree, only for everything to come to a screeching halt.

Son's present agreement runs through 2023, and unless if both sides can come to some kind of agreement, they will risk losing him for free in two years. That means the London giants may have to sell him - and that's where Bayern will be closely monitoring his situation and waiting to pounce once a good opportunity presents itself.

Although die Roten have plenty of attackers, including players like Leroy Sane and Kingsley Coman, Son is way more experienced and accomplished than the aforementioned duo and the German powerhouse are likely looking forward to having him potentially form the same kind of partnership with Robert Lewandowski that he presently enjoys with Harry Kane at the moment.
