Los Blancos reportedly see the English striker as the most realistic target for the upcoming summer transfer winddow.

With Harry Kane's Tottenham future coming under heavy doubt, the Englishman was bound to be linked with a north London exit. And that is just what's happening, with reports out of Spain claiming Real Madrid are targeting a move for the Three Lions superstar.

After Spurs crashed out of the UEFA Europa League in embarrassing fashion, throwing away a 2-0 first-leg lead to lose 3-2 to Dinamo Zagreb in the round of 16, many began speculating whether that would be the last straw for Kane. Given that he is 27 and yet to win a trophy in his professional career, the vice-captain could easily be eyeing a move elsewhere in order to challenge for silverware.

Previous reports have stated that while he will not go public with his desire to leave in the middle of the season as the club still have a top-four spot and a Carabao Cup final to fight for, the writing is on the wall. SER Deportivos now claim that Los Blancos have made Kane their no.1 target for this summer.

The Liga giants are on the market for a world-class striker and are said to have identified the Englishman as their most realistic target. With 27 goals and 16 assists under his belt across all competitions, there is no doubt surrounding his quality.

The other targets on Florentino Perez's list are Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland, but given that one is owned by PSG and the other is represented by Mino Raiola, Real Madrid feel they would be tougher to obtain. The Tottenham striker, on the other hand, has his older brother as one of his main representatives and this is seen as a huge positive.

This report however, should be taken with a pinch of salt as the Athletic journalist David Ornstein recently claimed that the north London giants would not sell for less than $166M. Furthermore, Daniel Levy is known as a hard negotiator and would probably play hardball with the Bernabeu hierarchy.
