Olympique Lyonnais and Paris Saint-Germain will lock-horns at the Groupama Stadium in one of clashes whose outcome could significantly impact the status of the Lige 1 table at the end of the season. The former, who will host the defending champions, are well within range of securing the title as they will approach the upcoming test with just three points separating them and leaders Lille.
As a result, the magnitude of the upcoming test cannot be understated as a defeat could have a notable implication on their title aspiration with less than 10 games left to play this season. Needless to say, Rudi Garcia's men will be poised to make a difference against the league's defending champions. Last weekend's 1-1 draw with Stade Rennais denied them the opportunity to reduce the point deficit between them and Lille to one and, against PSG, they wll hope to make that possible while relying on Nimes to stun Les Dogues.
Lyon approach Sunday's clash with Les Parisiens with a five-game unbeaten run across all competitions. They have won three and have drawn the remaining two games. Quite remarkably, they have suffered just two loses across the last 28 games. In Ligue 1, they boast they rank as the team with the fourth-best home record with nine wins and three draws to their name.

In a head-to-head battle, Lyon will particularly fancy their chances against PSG, having secured a 1-0 victory over their rivals in the reverse fixture. Knowing what the consequence of back-to-back defeats will be, Les Parisiens will be out to get a revenge accordingly. Despite not having the best of domestic campaigns in recent memory, they have put together a good run to be within reach of the title. The dream to secure a treble this season is also not far off, having made their way to the quarter-final and final of the UEFA Champions League and Coupe de France at the expense of Barcelona and Lille respectively.
PSG go into Sunday's meeting against Lyon on the back of a 3-0 win over Lille in the penultimate Coupe de France clash. However, prior to their cup success, they suffered a surprise 2-1 home defeat against Nantes, having seen Lille drop points in a stalemate with AS Monaco. Just like Lyon, only three points separate Mauricio Pochettino's men and the league leaders.
