Several European giants have their eyes on the Norwegian giants but according to Marca, Los Blancos boast an advantage.

Erling Braut Haaland is one of, if not the, hottest strikers in world football, with the Dortmund sensation garnering interest from Europe's biggest clubs after his remarkable exploits in the Bundesliga. Real Madrid are one of many teams eyeing the Norwegian superstar but as we have hinted to already, Los Blancos will have to fend off interest from several other suitors if they wish to land the former RB Salzburg talent.

Despite this, Marca claim the Liga giants have an advantage in the race to sign the 20-year-old. The Spanish publication report that Haaland has his heart set out on a Madrid move and has informed Los Merengues of his desire to one day play at the Bernabeu.

Upon arriving at Dortmund in January 2019, the Norwegian was targeting a Signal Iduna Park exit at 2022 at the earliest. However, after scoring 32 goals in 35 Bundesliga appearances, the striker looks to take the next step in his career as early as this summer.

Negotiations are yet to take place but given that Mino Raiola, the player's agent, favors a move to Spain, talks could go smoothly. It should be noted that Haaland isn't the only target on Real Madrid's radar as they have their eyes on Kylian Mbappe as well. As a result, it will be interesting to see whether if the Spanish giants can pull off a move for both players, or whether they will be forced to sacrifice one for the other.

Regardless, Man City, Man Utd, Chelsea, and Barcelona – the other European giants interested in Erling – are unlikely to go down without a fight. The Catalan giants' newly-elected president Joan Laporta enjoys a lovely relationship with Raiola but given their financial struggles, it remains to be seen whether they can afford Haaland.
