ATA Football will screen the FA Women’s Super League game of the week Arsenal against Manchester United on Friday, March 19 at 2:30 p.m. ET.

Fourth-place Arsenal will host third-placed Manchester United at Meadow Park in London to conclude Matchday 17 of the FA WSL.

Manchester United needs a flawless end to its FA WSL 2020/21 campaign to have a chance at winning the title. The Red Devils are six points behind first-place Chelsea with six games left in the campaign. More importantly, their upcoming game against Arsenal will be their toughest challenge with West Ham, Brighton, Tottenham, Bristol City and Everton left to play in the remainder of the campaign. A win at Meadow Park is a must for Casey Stoney and her women's ambitions.

However, defeating Arsenal will not be an easy challenge by any means. The Gunners are the third most explosive side in attack this season with 48 goals. Dutch striker Vivianne Miedema leads the league in goals with 14 along with four assists, making her the player with the most goal involvements so far this season. Miedema's Dutch compatriot Jill Roord has seven goals and three assists, and Australian forward Caitlin Foord ranks sixth in assists with five and fourth in goals with nine.

The game will come down to which team will be able to defend best. Manchester United has conceded 16 goals in 15 games and Arsenal has given up 14 goals after 15 matches. In comparison, Chelsea has only conceded eight goals and Manchester City 11.

Manchester United remained defensively intact in its home league game against Arsenal in November. The Reds won the game 1-0, allowing Arsenal two shots on target and 11 attempts at goal. If the Red Devils manage to replicate their previous performance against Arsenal, then they would be considered a title contender once again.
