The Spanish center back returned to the UEFA Champions League with a worthy performance and a goal to cement the team's ticket to the next round.

Sergio Ramos was not around to play for Los Blancos in the first leg of the tie against Atalanta, but he made sure his presence was felt in the return leg.

The Spanish footballer returned to put his leaderships skills to Real Madrid's use, and he did so by limiting Atalanta to one or two shots on goal during his 61 minutes on the pitch. Added to that, Ramos managed to score one more goal for Los Blancos that paved the way to win this game and make it to the last eight round.

Ramos scored a spot kick right after the 60th-minute mark to give Los Blancos a two-goal lead for the first time in the game, and with that goal, the player managed to earn himself one more record in the continental competition, as he is now the second most prolific defender in the competition's history behind former teammate Roberto Carlos.

Moreover, Ramos also managed to surpass the goalscoring tallies of two Real Madrid legends with his 15th goal in the competition.

Now, Real Madrid will wait to know the name of their opponent for the next round, and the good news for them will be that they will have Ramos back at his best to try and lead them to the final four teams.
