Essien has confirmed his intention to remain at manager-less Chelsea despite speculations relating him with an exit.
Chelsea are currently still on the look for a manager after Carlo Ancelotti was sacked three weeks ago. Guus Hiddink is apparently the likeliest one to replace the Italian before pre-season activities kick off.

With all this turmoil surrounding the club, Essien has delivered a good news for all Blues fanatics worldwide by reiterating his decision to remain at Stamford Bridge. The Ghanaian was linked with a move away but he now claims that he will stay and fight to win the Champions League for Chelsea.

"I am looking forward to next season, I want to win back the title and bring the Champions League to Chelsea. So I am not aware of not playing for Chelsea next season."

Meanwhile, Chelsea could face competition from Barcelona to sign two of their transfer targets this summer. The Catalans are reportedly considering bids for both Alexis Sanchez and Sergio Aguero and it remains to be seen whether those players would choose Chelsea over Barca. What are your takes on this?
