Brest will be looking to end their decades-long frustrating run when PSG arrive for their Coupe de France round of 32 tie.

Preview: Brest vs PSG

PSG will look to continue their march towards another Coupe de France title when Les Parisiens travel to face Brest on Saturday evening. Mauricio Pochettino's side come into this match having earned a narrow 1-0 win over Bordeaux to ensure that they remained within touching distance of Lille. For the reigning champions, this season's title race has been a lot harder than they've expected as they have found themselves playing catch-up with Lille, and at times, Lyon.

However, things are a bit different in the Champions League, where Les Parisiens have one foot firmly into the quarter-finals after their well-earned 4-1 defeat of Barcelona at the Camp Nou. With that game coming up soon, Pochettino will want to keep his team fighting fit; yet at the same time will certainly want to ensure that PSG make it a sixth Coupe de France title in seven seasons. Indeed, with the exception of Rennes stunning everyone to win it during the 2018/2019 season, this competition has been pretty much one-way traffic for nearly a decade.

Meanwhile, Brest ended their three game winless run with a comfortable win over basement boys Dijon. After earning just one point from their last three games, Les Pirates will hope that will be the springboard as they aspire to end a frustrating hoodoo against PSG. Not only have they lost their last seven meetings with the capital giants, but also have failed to win a match against PSG for over 36 years. That's right, the last time Brest won any clash with Les Parisiens was way back in January 1985 - before quite a few players on both sides were even born.

Team news: Brest vs PSG

Brest: Only Christophe Herelle and Denys Bain will be absent for the hosts, who hope that that this may finally be the year they overcome PSG.

PSG: Neymar remains out for this one, along with Angel Di Maria, Marco Verratti, and Mauro Icardi. In addition, young striker Moise Kean has contracted COVID-19, which certainly is a bit of a blow for the capital giants.
