Die BVB will go into Saturday's super clash against without three of their top stars.

Borussia Dortmund have been hit with a triple blow with Raphael Guerrero, Jadon Sancho and Gio Reyna set to miss Saturday's clash with Bayern Munich. Die BVB made the revelation on Friday, stating that the trio were not part of the squad that have traveled to Munich for the weekend's Der Klassiker.

Both Sancho and Guerrero featured in mid-week's DFB Pokal encounter with Borussia Monchengladbach but none of the pair completed the full 90 minutes. The former scored the game's only goal to secure the win for the Westfalenstadion outfit before limping off straight to the dressing room a couple of minutes later.

Prior to that, Raphael Guerrero had taken an early shower after an injury forced his substitution in the fifth minute. For Gio Reyna, the reason for his absence remains unclear as he featured on the bench in Wednesday's cup triumph.

Sancho's absence, in particular, would be crucial for the tie considering how influential the Englishman has been for Dortmund in recent weeks. The 20-year-old winger has scored four goals and assisted three in his last five appearances for the club. With his help, Edin Terzic's side has climbed to fifth on the Bundesliga table following a rather turbulent start. A win over Bayern Munich would put them level on points with fourth-placed Eintracht Frankurt who are set to take on Stuttgart,
