A lonely first half goal by Mason Mount was enough to deepen the Reds' disappointing form this season.

Less than a year after winning their first Premier League title, Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool has found a way to make history for all the wrong reasons when it comes to playing at home.

The Reds, who have only managed to score one goal at Anfield since the start of 2021, dropped three more points in their quest to go back to European tournament spots. What really stands out is that the Reds have lost five of their last six games in the Premier League, with all of those defeats coming at home.

The Reds dropped points at Anfield against Burnley, Brighton, Manchester City, Everton, and Chelsea, and even though the team can be cut some slack due to the massive number of injuries they have endured, this version of the Reds will go down in history as the team that lost five games in a row while playing at home for the first time in its history.

Their defensive woes were not the only thing fans had to worry about, as their once fear-inducing strikers were limited to just one shot in front of goal.

Despite their woeful form recently, Liverpool still have a chance to catch up with the top four teams, as they are only four points behind Chelsea after tonight's loss. Nevertheless, it seems like the Reds will need some major upgrades if they want to finish the season as one of the teams that will play in next year's UEFA Champions League.
