The Guard1anes 2021 tournament gets to its seventh week of action, and even though the competition has been far from being what everyone was hoping for, Matchday 7 could finally deliver some worthy performances.
Toluca and América lead the pack with 13 points each, but this weekend's games for them could jeopardize their current position in the league. If that was not enough reason to watch this weekend's clashes, the reedition of the Guard1anes 2020 final may surely attract some viewers.

The games are scheduled to kick off on Thursday with the San Luis-Santos showdown. The green and white team confirmed themselves as a true contender following their one-nil win over Monterrey, and their follow up game will be interesting to watch. On Friday, the aforementioned Rayados will try to go back to winning ways when they meet Necaxa. Elsewhere, Juárez will face Mazatlán with nothing but victory in their minds.
Saturday's games seem to be the most exciting, as Cruz Azul will face Toluca in an intense battle for the top spot in the league. Once that game comes to an end, América will visit Atlas eager to win their first away game of the season against Atlas, a team that usually puts up a good fight when they face las Águilas.
Sunday will bring us the "rematch" between Pumas and León, the teams that played the Guard1anes 2020 final. Unfortunately for both, this tournament has not been as impressive as the last one, and this game could just be what they need to get back on track. Later that day, Puebla will make a trip to Querétaro and Tigres will host Xolos in what could be a good match to keep an eye on.
Lastly, Pachuca will try to leave the bottom of the table when they face Guadalajara. El Rebaño has also struggled to earn wins this season, but facing Pachuca may be seen by fans as the right chance to start a winning streak.
