Liverpool entered today's clash vs Liverpool knowing nothing but a win would be acceptable. Having fallen 10 points behind league leaders Man City, Klopp's men could not afford a third consecutive defeat in the Premier League.
Having gone 1-0 up after 67 minutes and being in total control, the Reds appeared destined to clinch all three points. However, in the span of five minutes, the defending champions utterly imploded and ended up losing 3-1.
James Maddison pulled the home side level in the 80th minute, scoring via a free kick that was initially given as a penalty. Two minutes later, the Foxes took the lead via Jamie Vardy. In the 85th minutes, Barnes made it 3-1 for the hosts.
The catalyst for Liverpool's demise was a huge blunder from Alisson. For the second game running, the Brazilian goalkeeper committed a costly error, awarding Brendan Rodgers's side their second goal – the winner – on a silver platter.
The shot-stopper came way off his line to clear the ball and due to poor communication, ended up clattering into team-mate and debutant Ozan Kabak. The ball thus fell to the feet of Vardy who buried the ball into the back of an empty goal. Check out the incident below (the videos are geo-restricted).

Should Man City beat Tottenham and overcome Everton on Wednesday, Salah and Co. will find themselves 16 points behind the Citizens. Furthermore, Liverpool could drop out of the top four and plummet to sixth if Chelsea and West Ham – both are on 39 points – win their respective fixtures.
