The fight for the top spots will continue in a weekend with quite a few interesting games. Have a look at everything set to take place with our detailed guide.

The Guard1anes 2021 will enter its first third, and with that, fans will be able to identify the teams that will fight for a straight spot in the playoffs and which ones will have to fight for their options in the one-match ties established by the league last year.

Right now, the tournament is led by Toluca, Monterrey, and América, all of them with ten points. Right next to them with nine are Cruz Azul and Santos, which means that any win by these teams could bring quite a few ramifications after this weekend's games.

All the action will kick off on Friday with three games. Out of those, the clash between Xolos and León should really keep fans interested. None of these teams won their tie on Matchday 5, which means that they will be eager to claim all the points this time around. Elsewhere, Puebla will be facing Juárez and Mazatlán will host San Luis at Kraken Stadium.

Contrary to what happens frequently in the league, Saturday will only come with two games. First off, Guadalajara will be facing Necaxa at 20:00 ET. Then, América willl try to keep their flawless run at home when they face Querétaro.

On Sunday, all eyes will be set on the game between Santos and Monterrey, mainly because of the implications it would have for the rankings. Earlier that day, Toluca will clash against the struggling Pumas, who have not enjoyed the best of starts in the competition.

Last, but not least, Tigres will return to Mexico with a second place in the FIFA Club World Cup, and they will try to make up for time lost when they face Cruz Azul on Wednesday. Will jet lag have anything to do on the outcome of this game? We'll have to find out after Wednesday's match.
