The Barcelona talisman made an instant impact after coming on from the bench in Sunday night's clash.

Barcelona skipper Lionel Messi came off the bench to land a personal milestone by scoring in Sunday night's win over Real Betis. The 33-year-old Argentine impact made his presence felt moment after being introduced into the game, netting what was his fastest-ever La Liga goal as a substitute in the dramatic 3-2 win.

The Argentine looked on from the bench as his side trailed in the first half and did not get the opportunity to guide them on course until a few minutes into the second half. It was Borja Iglesias who drew first blood in the 38th minute to put Barca at a disadvantage heading into the half-time break.

12 minutes after play resumed for the second half, Messi replaced Riqui Puig and immediately made his mark by scoring Barcelona's equalizer after just 136 second. Victor Ruiz subsequently scored an own-goal in the 68th-minute to put the visitors in front before redeeming himself by restoring parity in the 75th minute.

A moment of brilliance by Trincao in the 87th-minute sealed the win for Barcelona as they made it 20 games without a defeat against Real Betis. The last time Los Blaugrana lost a league game against the Green and Whites can be traced back to 2008.
