Paris Saint-Germain were dealt the biggest upset this weekend with their title rivals all picking up points.

The competitive nature of this season's French Ligue 1 was fully sustained with the weekend's results giving a new twist to the state of affairs. An extraordinary turn of events resulted in Paris Saint-Germain suffering a 3-2 defeat against relegation-battling Lorient.

The game's outcome caused Les Parisiens to slip from the top of the table all the way to third after Lille and Lyon picked up wins in their respective games against Dijon and Bordeaux. AS monaco subsequently ensued that there was a clear distinction between the top four and the rest of the pack by securing a 2-1 away win over Nantes.
