Bayern kept their lead over RB Leipzig, but there were some interesting movements among the contenders for European competitions.

The 2020-21 Bundesliga season reached its halfway point this weekend with Bayern München at the top of the table. Die Roten kept their advantage over second place RB Leipzig, but the really interesting movements came in spots three to five, as Bayer Leverkusen's loss to Leipzig saw them leave the top four spots. Now, Wolfsburg and Eintracht Frankfurt are ranked third and fourth due to the Werkself's defeat. At the bottom of the table, Schalke rescued one point against Werder Bremen, but their chances of avoiding relegation seem far if they can't add points to their tally.

Bayern's lead at the top did not change, but Wolfsburg's recent form could see the white and green team become quite a threat for Die Roten Bullen.

  • Freiburg vs Borussia Dortmund - The Black and Yellow are desperate to return to the top spots in the tournament, and their clash against Freiburg seems like the proper opportunity to do just that. Freiburg have only won one of their last four, and that fact alone could be enough reason for Dortmund to build their hopes up.
