Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho has picked up an unwanted feat after his side sufered defeat in Sunday night's Premier League clash with Brighton & Hove Albion. The Portuguese manager's men were dealt a blow in their title charge as their host successfully run away with a 1-0 win.
In the absence of injured skipper Harry Kane, Spurs had a rather poor start to punished by Brighton in the 17th-minute. Leandro Trossard left goalkeeper Hugo Lloris stunned after making perfect contact with Pascal Gross' cutback. Not much ensued from that point onwards with Mourinho's men struggling to create chances while the Seagulls dominated proceedings.
In the end, the goal by Trossard proved to be the decider as Tottenham Hotspur picked up their second successive Premier League defeat in a matter od days. Essentially, the game's outcome ended Brighton's seven-month winless streak at the Amex Stadium.
The result meant that, for the first time-ever in Jose Mourinho's career, he has registered three consequective defeats against the same club. Prior to joining Tottenham Hotspur in 2019, the Portuguese manager suffered a 3-2 defeat with Manchester United against Graham Potter's men in August 2018. In his first season as the Spurs manager, he was dealt another shock 3-0 defeat by the Seagulls at the Amex Stadium.

Spurs, who still remain title contenders are now in sixth position - 11 points adrift of leaders Manchester City. Relatively, the win over the North London club has lifted Brighton & Hove Albion seven poiints above the relegation zone.
