The Real Madrid defender has his sight set on a move to the Premier League outfit this summer after a conversation with a club legend.

Sergio Ramos is reportedly considering a move to Premier League giants Manchester United over Paris Saint-Germain this summer. The 34-year-old Spanish center-back is currently in the final year of his Real Madrid contract and is edging close to exiting as a free agent after turning down a contract renewal offer.

It is understood that Ramos has been asked by Los Blancos to take a ten per-cent pay cut in order to be allowed to stay in the new deal. However, talks have since stalled with indications pointing at the Spanish capital club losing their captain on a free transfer. With his wages capped at £200,000 per week, only a handful of clubs can secure the service of the defender who has managed over 100 career goals for Real Madrid.

According to Daily Mail, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United are the two sides primed to battle for the player's signature this summer. The latter are already reaping the benefits from the acquisition of Edinson Cavani in a free transfer and are much interested in adding a serial winner in Sergio Ramos to their squad.

Meanwhile, the Sun claims that the Spanish defender has already had a chat with former teammate David Beckham and favors a move to Old Trafford. The 34-year-old is free to talk to clubs outside Spain to secure a pre-contract agreement but he is not expected to make a decision on his future immediately.
