A couple of Manchester United players voiced their dissatisfaction after being held to a goalless draw against Arsenal.

Manchester United pair David De Gea and Luke Shaw were left to rue their side's missed opportunities in Saturday night's draw at the Emirates. The Red Devils only made away with a point against Arsenal with the game's 0-0 outcome but set a new club record by extending their unbeaten away run in the Premier League to 18 games.

The highly anticipated clash lived up to expectation, producing a great spectacle for neutrals despite the obvious absence of goals. Needless to say, both clubs came close to breaking the deadlock at different instances with the likes of Bruno Fernandes, Edinson Cavani, Marcus Rashford, Alexandre Lacazette and Nicolas Pepe being the most notable to do so for their respective sides.

With the best of chances arguably falling the way of the Red Devils, two members of their backline - David de Gea and Luke Shaw - stated in the aftermath of the game that they should have made away with a better result. The former, who made a good save from Emile Smith Rowe's attempt stated that the squad felt disappointed as they believe they deserved to have won the maximum points.

"We feel disappointed in the dressing room," he told MUTV.

"We feel we missed a chance to beat Arsenal today. I think we did enough, we created enough chances to win.

"Maybe [they dominated] just the 10 minutes they had in the second half. We had our good chances as well, but we did enough to win today. "If we want to win, we have to score the chances."

Luke Shaw, in his post match remarks to Sky Sports, also added: "[It's] two points dropped I feel. I felt we were in control, Arsenal had a spell but we were comfortable and had countless massive chances we haven't taken.

"It would have been a brilliant result winning here, we have to be winning these games.

"The chances we had, I don't think it's acceptable to come away with a point - I haven't been in the changing room yet but I'm sure the lads will be disappointed.

"At times we were too slow. Second half we were sloppy and gave the ball away. We didn't look like we wanted to play.

"We created the chances and failed to score again and it cost us two points.

"We dropped points in midweek and again here. If we want to be in the title race we have to be winning these games. I don't know what more to say."
