ESPN+ to cover Coppa Italia, Bundesliga, Serie A, and FA Cup matches this week

January 27, 2021 By Michelle Bonsu
ESPN+ will be providing exclusive coverage of several European leagues throughout this week and over the next few months

With all of Europe's major leagues in full swing, fans will have plenty of football matches in store for them over the course of this week until the end of this month. And fans based in the USA can stay on top of all the action thanks to exclusive coverage from ESPN+.

Here's what will be in store over not just the next few days, but over the course of the ensuing months ahead.

Bundesliga

ESPN+ will be carrying all nine Bundesliga matches from round 19, with Friday's clash featuring newly promoted Stuttgart taking on relegation candidates Mainz kicking things off at 14:30 EST (11:30 PST). On Saturday, January 30th, ESPN+ will cover six additional games. Reigning champions Bayern Munich will be looking to get revenge on Hoffenheim for their earlier loss this season, with a start time of 09:30 EST (06:30 PST). Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund fans can cheer on their team as they aim to avoid a third straight loss when they face Augsburg, with that match also starting at 09:30 EST (06:30 PST).

In fact, all but one of Saturday's six matches will be played simultaneously at 09:30 EST, with the exception of a mouth-watering tie featuring second-placed RB Leipzig and third-placed Bayer Leverkusen which has a kick-off time of 12:30 EST (09:30 EST).

Finally, the month will wrap up with two more matches on Sunday, January 31st, with Köln and Arminia Bielefeld opening things up at 09:30 EST and the day concluding with Wolfsburg vs Freiburg at 12:00 EST (09:00 PST).

In February, all nine of matchday 20's games will also be covered on ESPN+, starting with Hertha Berlin vs Bayern Munich on Friday, February 5th at 14:30 EST (11:30 PST) and concluding with Arminia Bielefeld vs Werder Bremen on Saturday, February 7th at 12:00 EST (09:00 EST).

The same will apply to matchday 21, with all nine fixtures being carried by ESPN+, beginning with RB Leipzig vs Augsburg on Friday, February 12th at 14:30 EST and finishing with Bayern Munich vs Arminia Bielefeld on Monday, February 15th at 14:30 EST.

ESPN+ again will provide full coverage of all games on matchday 22 and matchday 23 to round out February. Matchday 22's opening tie will be Arminia Bielefeld vs Wolfsburg on Friday, February 19th at 14:30 EST and the round will conclude with Hoffenheim vs Werder Bremen on Sunday, February 21st at 12:00 EST. Make sure you don't miss out on the latest installment of the world-famous Revierderby featuring Schalke and Borussia Dortmund on Saturday, February 20th at 12:30 EST, while matchday 23 begins with Werder Bremen vs Eintracht Frankfurt on Friday, February 26th at 14:30 EST and finishes with Bayer Leverkusen vs Freiburg on Sunday, February 28th at 12:00 EST.

Serie A

ESPN+ will be covering nine of round 20's ten games in Serie A, with the exception of Atalanta vs Lazio (which fans can watch on ESPN2 and ESPN Deportes). The full coverage starts with Torino vs Fiorentina on Friday, January 29th at 14:45 EST and finishes with Roma vs Hellas Verona on Sunday, January 31st, also at 14:45 EST.

In February, Serie A coverage via ESPN+ continues on Friday, February 5th at 14:45 EST with a double header featuring Fiorentina vs Inter and Milan vs Crotone. The highlight of matchday 21 takes place on Saturday, February 6th when Juventus and Roma renew acquaintances at 12:00 EST. A week later, on Saturday, February 13th it's another huge clash as Napoli and Juventus lock horns at 12:00 EST. And on Sunday, February 14th, ESPN+ again will be the source on matchday 22 to follow the action from Inter vs Lazio at 14:45 EST.

FA Cup

The 2020/2021 FA Cup will resume action via ESPN+ in the fifth round on Wednesday, February 10th. Highlight matches include Barnsley vs Chelsea, Everton vs Spurs, Manchester United vs West Ham United, and Swansea City vs Manchester City, with all kick offs scheduled for 14:45 EST (11:45 PST). The quarter-finals, semi-finals, and finals are set to take place on March 10th, April 17th, and May 15th respectively, and fans can turn to ESPN+ to follow all the action from start to finish.

Coppa Italia

Finally, last but certainly not least, ESPN+ will also be carrying the latter stages of the 2020/2021 Coppa Italia, starting from the quarter-finals. The matches begin with the latest edition of the Derby della Madonnina featuring bitter rivals Inter and AC Milan on Tuesday, January 26th. On Wednesday, fans are in for a double-header, with Atalanta vs Lazio at 11:45 EST (08:45 PST) followed by Turin giants Juventus welcoming minnow SPAL at 14:45 EST (11:45 PST). The quarter-finals will then conclude with reigning Coppa Italia holders Napoli taking on newly promoted Spezia on Thursday, January 28th at 11:45 EST.

ESPN+ will also be providing coverage of the semi-finals as well as the Coppa Italia final, with times and dates to be determined.
