Things have gone from bad to worse for Liverpool, with the Premier League champions suffering their second defeat in a row. The Reds traveled to Man Utd for a highly-anticipated FA Cup clash and came away with a 3-2 defeat, thus crashing out of the tournament.
This result came on the back of a 1-0 loss they suffered at home against Burnley, bringing an end to their 63-game unbeaten run at Anfield. However, Klopp insists that everything is calm at the club despite winning only once in their last seven fixtures.
Speaking after the FA Cup defeat, the German boss admitted that he was not happy with the manner in which they conceded. Greenwood, Rashford, and Bruno Fernandes got on the scoresheet for the Red Devils, with the first two goals coming on the break.
"For the first goal we had no protection, we wanted it too much,' the Liverpool boss said, as per the Daily Mail. "Things like this should not happen. We had too many players in a receiving position.
"There were some mistakes around the goals. If you want to win here you have to be absolutely top and we were not.
"It's not what we wanted so it's frustrating. We scored twice and that's all okay, but they scored three.'
"If you are in a situation you don't like, you take steps to get out of it,' said a defiant Klopp.
"We got everything right in recent years and made some mistakes. Don't worry about us, as a group we are really together and we have to solve it together.
"We are just in this moment and we try to win football games again. Tonight I didn't see any problems with confidence."
Next up for the Premier League champions is a thrilling Thursday showdown with Tottenham. The last time these two sides met, the rampant Merseyside giants emerged triumphant after a late Roberto Firmino winner earned the Anfield side a 2-1 triumph.
However, Salah and Co. are now winless in their last five league games, having failed to score in four of thiose five ties. As a result, the reigning champions have dropped to fourth, trailing league leaders Man United by six points while boasting a mere point advantage over fifth-placed Spurs.
