The Norwegian striker has attracted several suitors, one being the London giants, who are now reportedly ready to break the bank for his signature.

Despite spending nearly $300M over the summer, Lampard's Chelsea look to make spend big once again in the upcoming transfer window, with their main target being Dortmund sensation Erling Braut Haaland.

Despite spending big on the likes of Timo Werner, Kai Havertz, and Hakim Ziyech; the Blues are ready to splash the cash once again in the transfer window in a bid to bolster their lackluster attack. According to the Athletic, Haaland is the man they've identified as their ideal target, and for obvious reasons.

Since joining BVB, the Norwegian striker has been nothing short of a hit, scoring 35 times in his first 35 games for the Bundesliga giants, thus averaging a goal per game. As a result, he has attracted several suitors.

Chelsea are the only European superpower eyeing the 20-year-old, with Real Madrid, Barcelona, Man United, and Man City all said to be interested in the former RB Salzburg talent. The striker has a clause in his Dortmund contract that could see him leave the club for only $90M, which is way short of his true value, but that will not come into effect until the summer of 2022.

The London giants want him this summer and are ready to break their transfer record – it is currently held by Kepa's $97M arrival – in order to lure him to Stamford Bridge. Whether the player will opt to join the Blues over his other suitors remains unclear.

It will also be interesting to see what Chelsea's interest in Haaland means for Timo Werner's future at the club. The German ace only arrived last summer but has done little to prove he was worth the $64M price tag.

The former RB Leipzig ace, who was one of the hottest attackers upon arriving in England, has lost his role in the lineup, having been relegated to the bench in two of the last three Premier League fixtures. The German international has now gone 10 straight top-flight fixtures without a goal but will be looking to end this horrible run in their upcoming showdown with Leicester City.
