2021 SheBelieves Cup: schedule, broadcasters, format

January 12, 2021 By Juan Aguerrevere
The U.S. Women’s National Team, Brazil, Canada and Japan will be the four participants in the 2021 SheBelieves Cup that will take place in Orlando from Feb. 18-24.

Exploria Stadium, the home of the Orlando Pride and Orlando City, will house the 2021 SheBelieves Cup in mid-February.

The tournament will feature four of the top 10 national teams in the FIFA World Ranking – No. 1 USA, No. 8 Brazil & Canada, No. 10 Japan. Out of the four nations, Canada will be the only one making its debut. Japan joins the tournament for the third year in a row after finishing third and fourth place in 2019 and 2020. On the other hand, this will be Brazil’s second appearance in the tournament after finishing fourth in 2019.

The USWNT won the most recent edition in 2020, defeating England, Japan and Spain in the round-robin tournament. Also, the Stars and Stripes won the tournament three times – in 2016, 2018 and 2020 – more times than any other nation.

SheBelieves Cup format

This is a round-robin tournament, meaning that each team will play the other three teams once. The team with the most points at the end of the tournament will be crowned the 2021 SheBelieves champions.
