The English top-flight entered its busiest period of the year last week with two back-to-back matchdays. American supporters had the luxury to watch 14 live Premier League games on TV and the turnout was good with around 5,232,000 viewers tuning in.
Everton’s 2-1 win over Arsenal broadcasted by NBC proved to be the most-watched game of the week, reaching a viewership rating of 0.45 and 750,000 average viewers. The second most-watched game of the week was Manchester United’s 6-2 win over rivals Leeds United broadcasted on NBC Sports Network. The game attracted 579,000 average viewers and was given a 0.35 viewership rating. NBCSN screened 12 other games reaching a total of 4,482,000 average viewers and an average of 345,000 viewers per broadcast.
Turning now to TUDN, the Spanish-language channel had its fair share of success last week, screening six Concacaf Champions League games and a Liga de Expansion MX game. The 3-1 comeback win by LAFC in the Concacaf Champions League semifinal against Club America was the third most-watched game of the week with 555,000 viewers tuning in for all the drama. The six Concacaf Champions League games had a successful viewership turnout, averaging 350,000 viewers per broadcast. On the other hand, The Liga de Expansion MX Final second leg that saw Tampico Madero come out victorious made it to the Showbuzzdaily's top 150 cable originals and network finals’ Sunday edition.
Lastly, four beIN Sports Español La Liga Santander broadcasts made it to the top 150 on four different days. The most successful out of the four was Real Madrid’s 3-1 away win at Eibar on Sunday. The broadcast attracted 139,000 average viewers.
