Matchday 10 of the FA Women’s Super League will be the last of 2020 and will consist of five games, including a London derby between Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur.

Things are looking more normal now that Manchester City is back in the FA Women’s Super League title race after defeating Arsenal 2-1 last weekend. Moreover, league heads Manchester United and Chelsea won both their games to remain at the top of the table. Now, both Manchester sides will face relatively easy opponents, while Chelsea and Arsenal will see-out Tottenham and Everton, respectively.

Unfortunately for American fans who wished to watch their U.S. Women’s National Team stars on TV, Matchday 10 FA WSL games will not be available on NBC Sports Network. Every game will be available on live stream through The FA Player. Also, the game between Arsenal and Everton will be available on other streaming services, including Fanatiz USA and ATA Football.

Game of the Week: Chelsea vs. Tottenham

There is no question that the Arsenal-Everton will be the most-watched FA WSL game of the weekend. However, the London Derby between Chelsea and Tottenham should also be one to watch.

The Spurs entered a new chapter in its history after going separate ways with long-time head coaches Karen Hills and Juan Amoros for former England assistant coach Rehanne Skinner. The English manager had a quick and positive response, leading the Lilywhites to their first two wins of the season after a seven-game losing streak. U.S. Women’s National Team star Alex Morgan will look for her third goal of the season against rivals Chelsea after scoring two penalties in wins against Brighton and Aston Villa.

On the other hand, Chelsea has had a completely different start of the season from its London counterparts. Emma Hayes’ Blues enter Matchday 10 in second place with six wins and two draws from its eight games. Moreover, the Blues could jump to first place if they win their game in hand against Aston Villa scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2020. Nonetheless, Hayes will maintain the same game plan she had last season, which is to take the remainder of the season week by week.

Talk of the Week: West Ham vs. Aston Villa postponed

For the second time in the season, the FA WSL had to postpone an Aston Villa game following a small number of positive COVID tests within West Ham United’s squad. The FA will arrange a new date for the game, which was originally scheduled to be played on Sunday, Dec. 20, at 9 a.m. ET.

In October, it was Villa that had a small wave of positive results before their games against Bristol City and Chelsea. Both games ended up being postponed. The Villains defeated the Robins in their rescheduled game on Wednesday, Dec. 9. The one against Chelsea will be played on Jan. 27, 2020, which is also a Wednesday. It is safe to say that the postponed game against West Ham will be played on a Wednesday during February.
