Both the Wolves striker and the Arsenal defender took massive blows to the head following the clash.

Arsenal defender David Luiz and Wolves striker Raul Jimenez were involved in a nasty collision of heads in Sunday's Premier League encounter at the Emirates. The latter in particular, having received treatment for a prolonged period of time, was stretchered off into tunnel while receiving oxygen following the horrific clash.

The worrying scene manifested inside the fourth minute when David Luiz attempted to attack Willian's cross. The ball was, however, headed away at the near post by Raul Jimenez but the striker was unfortunate to be caught in the head by the Brazilian defender.

The pair took heavy thumpings to the ground and were quickly attended to by their respective medical teams who were signalled on by concerned teammates. Treatment was administered to them both for a little over 10 minutes and while David Luiz was cleared to carry on with a bandaged and yet bleeding head, Jimenez was stretched off while receiving oxygen.

According to multiple reports from England, the Mexican international was worryingly taken to the hospital. He was subsequently replaced by Wolves' record signing Fabio Silva. In his absence, Pedro Neto and Podence ensured that Nuno's side had the lead under the belt ahead of the break with Gabriel scoring Arsenal's consolation goal in-between the two strikes.
