After an easy win in the reverse fixture, Roma will seek to pick up all three points once again as they travel to Cluj's home ground. Live Soccer TV's match preview provides key match stats, team news, and global broadcast listings ahead of Cluj vs. Roma.

Preview: Cluj vs Roma

Since their frustrating scoreless stalemate with Eastern European outfit CSKA Sofia, Roma have been in excellent form. The Giallorossi dominated in a comfortable 3-0 win over Parma this past weekend, and come into this upcoming tie against CFR Cluj having won four straight matches across all comps. That includes a 5-0 drubbing of these same opponents at the reverse fixture staged at the Stadio Olimpico last month. Overall, Paulo Fonesca's men have kept four clean sheets in their last five games, while scoring 13 and conceding just once. In fact, the last time they let in more than one goal was during an entertaining six goal thriller against current league leaders AC Milan, during which they were able to salvage a point.

The Giallorossi have been in strong form in the league, with four wins from their last five Serie A games helping them to move up to third spot in the table, one point ahead of reigning champs Juventus and just one behind Sassuolo, who have continued to remain in the top four after a strong early start to the campaign.

Roma, however, have struggled for good results on the road, especially in European competition. Earlier this season, they beat Swiss side Young Boys 2-1 on matchday one, which was only their second win outside the Stadio Olimpico in their last eight fixtures, while they've lost four during that same time frame. That being said, Cluj have lost their last two home games in their domestic league and overall have not been in the most consistent form this season.

Although the hosts are unbeaten in their last seven European home games, Roma's attack, which has been spearheaded by Armenian international Henrikh Mkhitaryan, has been clicking at just the right time, while Spanish striker Borja Mayoral has done quite well deputizing for Edin Dzeko as he recovered from COVID-19. With Dzeko now back healthy and in the squad, Roma's options have grown that much more stronger and despite missing several defenders ahead of this match, they should have no problems easily picking up three points here and heading back to the Eternal City one step closer towards securing a spot in the knockout rounds.

Team news: Cluj vs Roma

Roma: Marash Kumbulla, Federico Fazio and Davide Santon are all out for the visitors, but defensive duo Gianluca Mancini and Roger Ibanez could feature here if they pass a late fitness test.
