It's knockout stage time in the Copa Libertadores, which means that we will have some top-notch games taking place in South America for the next four weeks.

All qualified teams had a one-month break from the competition, and the matchups that emerged from the draw surely hint some interesting games ahead. Boca Juniors, Flamengo, River Plate, and Santos will all be there, but the rest of the teams will try to prove that their will to oust the favorites may do more for them than the skills shown by the four teams mentioned previously.

Let's have a closer look at each matchup and some details about the first and second leg in each tie.

Palmeiras (1) vs Delfín (15) - The Brazilian side won Group B, while the team from Ecuador made it to this stage as runners-up in Group B under Brazilian club Santos. The first leg is set to take place in Ecuador, while the return leg will be played in Brazil.

Santos (2) vs LDU Quito (12) - Santos earned the top spot in Group G without a loss, and their Ecuadorian rivals finished second in Group D behind River Plate. These teams will play their game in Ecuador this week, while the return leg is set to take place in Brazil next week.

Nacional (4) vs Independiente del Valle (11) - The Uruguayan team won Group F thanks to their better goal difference, while Independiente managed to finish second behind Flamengo after beating the red and black side 5-0 at one point of the tournament. The first leg will be played in Ecuador, while the deciding match will be held in Uruguay next week.

Boca Juniors (5) vs Internacional (14) - Los Xeneizes won Group H by a mile, and now they will face the runners-up from Group E. This clash between former champions will start in Brazil, while Boca will host the return leg at La Bombonera next week.

River Plate (6) vs Athletico Paranaense (13) - Los Millonarios made it through after winning Group D. Meanwhile, the Brazilian side ended in second place of Group C despite having the same points as Jorge Wilstermann. The first leg of this tie will be played in Brazil, while River Plate will host the reverse fixture next week.

Gremio (7) vs Guaraní (10) - The celeste and black side from Brazil won Group E, while the Paraguayan side ended their run in the group stage behind Palmeiras in Group B. The first match will be played at Paraguay, while Gremio prepares to host the reverse fixture next week.
