Fresh off a comfortable win in the UCL, Juventus now turn their attention towards taking on Lazio. Live Soccer TV's match preview provides team news, global broadcast listings, and match facts for Lazio vs Juventus.

Preview: Lazio vs Juventus

Following a comfortable road win over Eastern European outfit Ferencvaros, Juventus now will seek to try to close the gap on current league leaders AC Milan. The Rossoneri still boast a four point gap over the reigning Serie A champions, but if the Bianconeri can beat Lazio, that gap will be temporarily narrowed to just one before the Diavolo take on minnows Hellas Verona later on Sunday.

Juventus come into this game having won 4-1 over Spezia last round, thanks to a brace from star man Cristiano Ronaldo, who came off the bench to help seal a vital win for Andrea Pirlo's men. It was exactly the result the 2006 World Cup winner need from his side following a disappointing 2-0 home loss to Barcelona, which was precededed by the team dropping points against the likes of Verona and Crotone, and they will be seeking to make things after losing during their last trip to Lazio's home ground, three goals to one in December 2019.

Meanwhile, Lazio, who kicked off their Champions League campaign with a resounding 3-1 win over Borussia Dortmund, have since slipped off the pace and have now fallen into second spot in their quartet. Two disappointing draws with Club Brugge and Russian side Zenit have cost them four valuable points, and frustratingly for Simone Inzaghi, they had to play without their star man against Zenit due to UEFA.

Why? Because the football body found they had fielded striker Ciro Immobile against Torino the prior weekend - despite a prior positive COVID-19 test - and decided to block the Italian international from traveling to Russia after he tested positive using their own methods. That's despite Lazio claiming he was negative using their own internal tests.

Their leaky defense is also a major source of concern - while they come into this game having won their last two matches, the Aquile have shipped 12 goals in just six games. Three of those came during a topsy-turvy 4-3 win over relegation-threatened Torino.

Team news: Lazio vs Juventus

Lazio: The hosts have been dealt a huge blow due to the absence of star striker Ciro Immobile due to how the team handled his positive COVID-19 test; he was allowed to play against Torino on November 1 despite the results but was blocked from traveling to Russia for the team's UCL tie. After testing positive as per UEFA - despite his club stating he was negative as per their results, he will not get to play here. Other players who fell into this category include Lucas Leiva and goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha.

Additional absentees for the Biancocelesti include Senad Lulic and Manuel Lazzarri.

Juventus: Veteran defender Giorgio Chiellini suffered another injury, so will miss out, along with Aaron Ramsey, Alex Sandro, and Matthijs de Ligt.
