After finally getting things right in a 4-1 win over Spezia, Juventus now turn their attention towards picking up all three points against Hungarian minnows Ferencvaros.

Preview: Ferencvaros vs Juventus

Juventus rebounded well from their disappointing 2-0 loss to Barcelona on matchday two of this season's Champions League by picking up a 4-1 win over newly promoted Spezia. However, they needed Cristiano Ronaldo, who had recently recovered from COVID-19, to come off the bench to bail them out with a brace to avoid what would have been a rather embarrassing draw to yet another minnow.

Ronaldo was unable to get involved during La Vecchia Signora's loss to the Blaugrana, which was their first ever in Turin, and the Spanish giants were aided by VAR on three occasions that denied Alvaro Morata the chance to score what would have been his first Champions League hat-trick for Juventus. This time around, however, CR7 will definitely be in the starting XI from the first whistle, and that doesn't bode well for Hungarian champions Ferencvaros, who earned their first point of this campaign thanks to a two-all draw with Eastern European outfit Dynamo Kiev recently.

With Barcelona, despite their "struggles" in La Liga, expected to make it three wins in three against floundering Dynamo Kiev, the onus will be on Andrea Pirlo's men to recover from their loss on matchday two and come back to Turin with a vital win in hand in order to at least ensure they can secure second place as we head into the midway point of the 2020/2021 Champions League group stages.

Claiming top spot in Group G looks set to be tricky, but there is the reverse fixture at Camp Nou to consider, and more important, Ronaldo will be fit for that match and will naturally be determined to have an impact - especially at a ground he enjoyed playing at when he was a Real Madrid player. But Juventus will need to do their part over these next two games against the Hungarian minnows in order to at least give themselves a shot at knocking Lionel Messi and Co. off their perch from top spot in this quartet.
