After a well-deserved road win in the Champions League, Chelsea will hope to start moving up the league table as they travel to face relegation-threatened Burnley on Saturday, October 31st.

Preview: Burnley vs Chelsea

Burnley will be hoping that Chelsea's long trip to Russia will have left the Blues running ragged as the Clarets desperately seek to finally earn some much-needed points. Sean Dyche's men currently sit in the relegation zone after picking up just one point so far and come into this game having lost 1-0 to Tottenham in their last fixture. In addition, they've lost five of their last six meetings with Chelsea at this ground and overall, have won just one of their last 12 clashes against the London giants. That being said, teams playing a game after returning from Russia have historically struggled - with only two wins from 13 such matches played in the past seven years (versus nine losses and two draws).

Still, Chelsea arrive at Turf Moor having cruised to a 4-0 win over Russian outfit Krasnodar to earn their first win of their Champions League campaign and put themselves on top of their quartet. Frank Lampard's side, however, still struggle to keep clean sheets, and in fact, have only managed two shut-outs in their last 22 away league games. Moreover, they've won just one of their last five Premier League fixtures, and three of their last 12 overall. Will this match present some easy pickings as they look to start making their way up the table? Or will they end up slipping up due to fatigue as a result of their long slog over to Russia - as has happened to quite a few teams in the not-so-recent past?

Team news: Burnley vs Chelsea

Burnley: Captain Ben Mee, along with Jack Cork, Erik Pieters, and Phil Bardsley are all definitely out for this match due to injuries, while Iceland international Johann Berg Gudmundsson will have to pass a late fitness test after sustaining a calf injury during his team's recent loss to Tottenham.

Chelsea: Kepa Arrizabalaga is still out with a shoulder injury, but Thiago Silva should return here after being rested for the trip to Russia.
