The youngster got on target to land himself in the history books as his side grabbed its first win in the competition.

Paris Saint-Germain striker Moise Kean has broken a record previously held by Juventus legend Alessandro Del Piero after getting on the scoresheet in Wednesday's Champions League clash with Istanbul Basaksehir. The forward was on target twice as Les Parisian secured their first win of the season in the competition.

After a rather drab first half coupled with Neymar Jr's injury, PSG finally had their breakthrough midway inside the second half. The first goal of the night came after an unmarked Moise Kean nodded home Kylian Mbappe's cross in the 64th minute.

In effect, the striker overtook Alessandro Del Piero to become the youngest ever Italian player to score on his very first Champions League start. The former achieved the feat at the age of 20 years and 243 days while his compatriot landed his at 20 years and 308 days.

With 11 minutes left to play, Kean doubled his side's advantage by volleying on the turn inside Basaksehir's penalty area. He subsequently became the first Paris Saint-Germain player to score two goals in his first start in the Champions League.
