According to Correio da Manha, the footballer's new test will see him miss the big group stage game against the Blaugrana side, mainly because UEFA's health protocols urge a footballer to test negative for the disease seven games before any given match. If UEFA sticks to the rules, then CR7 will have to watch his teammates take on the Blaugrana side at home.
Nevertheless, sources close to the footballer's camp argue that the levels shown by CR7's test are quite low, which means he could not infect anyone else. Hence, the player will ask UEFA to be tested 48 hours before the game, and if the test provides a negative result, he will ask for football's governing body in Europe to allow him to play.
