The Portuguese playmaker converted yet another attempt from 12 yards.

Manchester United were visited by Lady Luck once more when they took on Paris Saint-Germain in Tuesday's UEFA Champions League group stage opener. Against the run of play, the Red Devils were awarded with a golden opportunity to take the lead before the first half was concluded.

A different tale could have unfolded at Parc des Princes had it not been for two remarkable saves made by David de Gea in the early minutes of the proceedings. The Spanish goalkeeper successfully denied both Angel Di Maria and Layvin Kurzawa from handing the hosts the lead, providing United with the needed springboard to bounce and bite back.

A rushed challenge by PSG's Abdou Diallo on Anthony Martial in his side's penalty box dashed any hopes of the hosts taking the lead. Bruno Fernandes subsequently stepped up to do the honors but had his attempt saved by Keylor Navas. However, a quick VAR check revealed that the former Real Madrid goalkeeper was off his line before making the save.

With a retake in place, Bruno made no mistake with his second attempt to add to his incredible haul for the Red Devils. He has now scored 11 out of 12 penalties since arriving at Manchester in January with his club earning 27 spot-kicks in all competitions since the beginning of last season.
