Coverage of this league in the U.S. will kick off with a bang, as the Old Firm derby is set to take place on Saturday.

ESPN+ has reached a deal to stream the Scottish Premiership in the United States. Coverage of this league will see at least one game of the tournament being streamed every week on this platform in both English and Spanish language. The direct-to-consumer platform will begin its coverage of this competition on October 17, and other Scottish tournaments such as the Scottish Championship, Betfred Cup (Scottish League Cup) and Tunnock's Caramel Wafer Cup (Scottish Challenge Cup) will also be available on the platform.

Coverage of the Scottish Premiership will begin on October 17 with the historic clash between Celtic and Rangers at 7:30 a.m. ET, live from Celtic Park in Glasgow, Scotland. The Old Firm rivalry is one of the most intense in the world, with its origins going back to 1888.

The record between these teams shows a slight edge for Rangers, who have won 162 of those games, while the green-and white Celtic have claimed 159 victories. The "Old Firm" will become one of the most anticipated games to watch on ESPN+ as long as the agreement is in place.

"The Scottish Premiership on ESPN+ will offer fans tradition, intensity, rivalries and some of the most passionately supported clubs in the world – and will add further to the most comprehensive lineup of soccer available in the U.S.,"Russell Wolff, executive vice president and general manager for ESPN+ stated.

ESPN+ is known for its extended live soccer coverage in the United States, offering more than 2,000 matches every season. Some of the leagues covered by ESPN+ include the Bundesliga, the Serie A, the English FA Cup, the Carabao Cup, the Spanish Copa Del Rey, the Scottish Premiership, the Dutch Eredivisie, the Major League Soccer, the EFL Championship, and the USL.
