The complications caused by the coronavirus pandemic could see some -if not all- of Barcelona's top footballers to leave the club for the 2021-22 season.

These have proven to be complicated times at Camp Nou, but a new problem could be looming in the horizon for the team execs after the coronavirus crisis.

The Blaugrana side reported losses for over $114M, which hindered their ability to hire new players unless they sold some of their top assets. The problem now is that the current board led by Josep María Bartomeu will enter negotiations with some of the team's leaders to ask them to take wage cuts.

Barcelona players reluctantly agreed to do that back in April, but sources consulted by Marca suggest that in order to see that happening, Barcelona's footballers would ask to leave the club in the next transfer windows for free, just like Luis Suárez, Ivan Rakitic and Arturo Vidal did in the window that closed recently.

The sources consulted by the Spanish newspaper hint that Barcelona's board will try to negotiate wages with each and every player in the squad, but the general feeling is that whoever negotiates with the board will demand a free transfer away from the club for everyone.

Marca's report suggests that every area of the club, from staff members to other professional teams will be subject to see their wages cut short.
