Not only is the Egyptian ace great on the pitch, but he is also amazing off of it.

To many, Mohamed Salah is nothing more than a world-class footballer, merely a talented and crucial member of Jurgen Klopp's ruthless Liverpool side. However, to a man by the name of David Craig, the Egyptian superstar is a real-life hero.

Mr. Craig, a 50-year-old man who was sadly left homeless after a falling out with his family, opened up about a recent incident in which he met the 28-year-old goalscoring machine. As published by the Sun, the man crossed paths with the former Roma and Chelsea attacker after the Merseyside giants' 3-1 win over Arsenal in the Premier League. What followed will never be forgotten by David.

Salah pulled up to a fuel station in Liverpool. Mr. Craig just happened to be there at that time. Unfortunately, the homeless man was being verbally harassed by a group of men walking past the petrol station. Having witnessed their horrible actions, the attacker decided to intervene and gave the harassers a telling off before handing David £100.

"Mo was every bit as wonderful as he is for Liverpool on the pitch," Mr Craig told the British tabloid.

"He heard what a group of lads were saying to me, then turned to them and said, 'That could be you in a few years'. I only knew I wasn't hallucinating when Mo incredibly handed me £100. What a complete legend.

"Mo had seen a couple of the lads hassling me. They were calling me names, asking why I was begging and telling me to get a job.

"He saw what was happening and said something to them and then he went to the cash machine. I was more than chuffed. I'm a massive fan.

"Mo is a real-life hero in my eyes and I want to thank him."

This moment was caught on CCTV and has shed a light on Salah's generous side. The Egyptian destroyed Arsenal but has won everyone's heart with his off-the-pitch gesture.
